Emerald Financing Eugene Area Sustainable Talent
January 31, 2013 Sue Seirralupe and Arwen DeSpain accept the $500 grant for Occupy Medical's Prescription Program from Emerald FEAST Committee member and eDev Executive Director, Shawn Winkler-Rios.
What is Emerald F.E.A.S.T.? The Emerald F.E.A.S.T. is inspired by InCUBATE's Sunday Soup granting program in Chicago, Illinois and the multitude of adaptations of Sunday Soup around the world. The Soup program funds creative and community projects through community meals. Diners purchase a meal for $15-25 and receive one vote on a project to fund with the proceeds of the meal.
So far, we have given away over $2,900 in six events!
Our next F.E.A.S.T will be July 25, 2013 at 1376 Olive Street in Eugene (First United Methodist Church) from 6 to 8 PM. The dinner menu will be announced in March. Presenter applications are due July 8, 2013!
Our meals are always prepared by a wonderful local chef and her crew of helpers. Vegetarian and gluten-free options will be available. Stay tuned for more information!
